Green Building Solutions is a full-service general contractor specializing in
improving the performance of existing buildings to reduce energy and water
usage (and bills), while increasing comfort, safety, and durability, either in the
course of a remodel or as a performance upgrade alone.  We start by evaluating
and testing the building (a building performance audit) to determine where oppor-
tunities for improvement exist, and produce a detailed report including cost estimates.
We'll discuss our results with you, and help you decide what you want to do. After we
do the work, we test again to prove we’ve accomplished our goals.

If you want your project to achieve a "GreenPoint rating," which is a point score to reflect the
environmentally advanced extent of the project, we can work with you and your architect or contractor (if you already have one) to set goals and budgets.  We can also build from the ground up.

Green Building Solutions' president, George Baral, is a LEED AP with years of experience as a home inspector. He has studied building science for many years, and his science background makes him uniquely qualfied to evaluate energy usage and energy efficiency in buildings, and the opportunities for improvement. As an experienced general building contractor, he can implement performance enhancements to your building cost-effectively and professionally, and/or remodel your home or office on time and on budget.
